It's finals week on campus and the first semester is coming to a close. The team's final competition of 2015 will come December 19th and 20th at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis. The tournament is the premier Division II tournament in the country and will be a great test before the break.

Last week, the Division II Coaches released their second set of rankings and your Cardinals have climbed to 14th in the country! The team finished the semester 7-0, winning two dual meets over Alderson Broaddus (28-6) and Ohio Valley (44-0) over the weekend. In 7 dual meets the team won 57 of 70 matches wrestled and against our in state opponents, we went 26-4!

Dustin Warner (13-0, 7 falls, W&J Champion, Findlay Open Champion)
Dustin didn't compete at Alderson Broaddus and recorded his 7th fall of the season on Sunday.

Josh Henderson (5-4, 1 fall, 6th place W&J)

Nolan Whitely (14-1, 4 fall, W&J Champion, 5th Findlay Open)
Nolan continues to improve on his feet and on top. If he can continue to put focus on getting better every day, he'll be in a great position come February/March.

Preston Bowshier (11-2, W&J Champion, 6th Findlay Open)

Damon Outward (11-4, 5 pins)
Damon received a forfeit on Friday and picked up a decision on Sunday. Damon was down 7-3 early in the match Sunday, but stayed composed and outworked his opponent in the third period. The match ended with Damon scoring the last 9 points and winning 12-7.

Dominick Nania (11-1, 4 fall)
Dom did not compete Friday but didn't miss a beat, recording a tech fall Sunday over his Ohio Valley opponent. When Dom attacks and looks to score offensive points early, he's one of the best and will threaten to be on the podium. He's not only dangerous but has great offense and the ability to score from every position.

Kollin Clark (3-5)
Kollin lost by decision on Friday. Kollin has a great offense but until he believes in it, we'll only see it in spurts. On Friday, he lost 8-3 and the only attack he initiated he scored on. Fortunately Kollin still has time to fix this with it being the end of the first semester.

Reyse Wallbrown (12-3, 4 fall, W&J Champion)
Reyse had two solid wins this weekend, one over his regionally ranked opponent from Ohio Valley. Reyse is really good and as he mature and believes this fully, you'll see him continue to knock off quality opponents and move up the ranks.

Peyton Geary (10-3, 1 fall, W&J Champion)
Peyton received a forfeit on Sunday and lost a tough 1 point battle Friday. Peyton's opponent Friday was a tough opponent and Peyton dictated the entire pace of the match. Peyton has had a wonderful first semester and needs to stay focused on continuing his climb to the top by getting better in his critical area. He will.

Clayton Ray (8-5, 3 falls, 6th W&J)
Clayton continued to show Cardinal fans and others in our region that he's going to be making some noise in a Cardinal singlet. Clayton is tough, wrestles hard and is a tough match up for most. His length, constant attacks and tough top wrestling are a great recipe for success at this level.

Garrett Reinwald (4-5)
As mentioned in earlier emails, Garrett will continue to get better quickly as he gets mat time. Garrett looks better every time out and his work in the wrestling room is a direct correlation to this. He's motivated and works his butt off and we're excited about his future.

Terrance Fanning (9-2, W&J Champion)
Like most of our freshman, as Terrance gets more and more matches, look out! He was 2-0 this weekend with two dominating performances. He's now recorded 5 tech falls and for a 197lbs to be doing this is very impressive. Terrance will look to continue building momentum next week at the Midwest Classic.

Corey Siegfried (7-4, W&J Champion)
Corey won a hard fought decision on Friday night by a score of 2-0. He did so riding his opponent for the entire 3rd period with a great effort.

Logan Bowman (5-4, 1 fall)
Logan wrestled Sunday afternoon and recorded a 2-1 decision. Logan, like Corey had to ride his opponent in the third to get riding time and did it with a strong effort.
