FORT WAYNE, Indiana - The WVU Tech wrestling team finished their 2014-15 campaign at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) East National Qualifier Saturday, finishing 11th out of 13 teams with 20 points. The Golden Bears complete their season with a 10-5 duals record and an United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship.

The qualifier allows the top four finisher's in each of the area's ten respective weight classes to receive an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships in Topeka, Kansas, March 6-7.

Junior Conrad Lacey earned sixth place at 157 pounds for the highest finish for the Gold and Blue.

Sophomore Wyatt Norfolk recorded two falls at 285 pounds in his round one at 4:12 and round two at 4:38. Freshman Curtis Cox was the other Golden Bear to score a fall, doing so over his opponent from St. Catharine College (Kentucky) at 4:12.

Tech earned the USCAA National title February 15 in State College, Pennsylvania with the help of six Golden Bear champions, freshmen TJ Bean (125) and Cox (133), sophomores Robert McNeil (141), Terry Nance (197) and Norfolk (235) and Lacey (157).
