VIENNA, W.Va. – The Ohio Valley University wrestling program opened up their dual schedule with a 36-19 win over the West Virginia Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon. The Scots used five pins and one forfeit to score the victory.

Anthony Tripke (North Port, Florida) opened things up with a pin in less than four minutes in the 125lb weight class. The Scots dropped the 133lb class by a 5-2 decision, but Junior Levi Congleton (Belpre, Ohio) got OVU back on track with a pin in 2:50 to win the 141lb class.

The Golden Bears responded with a forfeit at 149 and a major decision at 157, but from that point on Ohio Valley really opened things up. T.J. OVU scored a forfeit at 197, while WV Tech won the HWT class by forfeit to round out the afternoon.

THE MATCH WAS OVER WHEN…Koreski pinned his opponent in less than a minute in the 184lb class to give OVU a 30-13 lead making it an impossible comeback for Tech.
